call of duty 6 modern warfare 2 is coming out mid november 2009

play call of duty 4 nearly everday after work on the ps3

cant wait for COD 6

the details are still a little vague on COD 6 as are pics or info but will update every now and then for pics and actuall game info and links to videos.

personally i would like to see more customization for your own player.

like weapons for example, maybe special types of bullets for the sniper rifle

more clan options and online stats for clans.

more difficult achievements like headshot at 300 meters or shoot the bird in the sky with a RPG


what are your thoughts and what would you like too see in the new COD6

and add your online ID for PS3 as well

Apparently its going to be called Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 2 but when you think about it....4+2 = 6 so smart in a way.

CODs are released to often, its becoming as bad as sports games. Treyarch should go fuck off, and leave it to a 2-3year thing

Well thats basically all they'll do...revamp cod4. I guess i just dont like the whole releasing a sequel thing when its just going to use the same engine, same weapons, gameplay, and generally nothing is going to evolve into a better game, it'll just be...different. I hope they do change some stuff around, but i doubt they will.

infinity ward are contracted very 2 years to make the cod games..
but activision wanted to get more out of the ever popular series.
infinity ward declined anything soon then a 2 year period saying that they wouldnt be able to make a good enough game in a year period. therefore they got treyarch to come in and just add to the engine that was in cod 4

i think its a good thing in a way tho.. id rather newer games more often

i preffered 4 over 5 anyway, i think 6 should hold the games for a while

scotty is right... infinity ward is looking after a different vein of cod games. ie mw and mw2... so if you think about it... yes cod is released almost annualy but between modern and historic installments you've got a couple of years. besides why is everyone crying that mw2 is coming so soon? cod4 isn't even 1080p... don't you think cod4 on 1080p res would be so much better...

and waw is good... lol its been patched and they fixed the map glitches... even though abusing them was fun. does anyone play WaW? if so... whats your psn? plus makin day is out and map pack 1 will drop soon...

No, and that wont happen anyway. Basically every game that says its 1080p is just upscaled, this generation isnt powerful enough to make decent looking games run at 1080p natively.

I liked Waw it was better than 4, Waw actually takes some skill while 4 is full of noobs who just run and spray.. I really like using bolt actions tho.. Just my opinion. Nazi zombies ftw

as bozza said, COD4 in 1080p with the same or better graphical quality is just not possible on either the PS3 or the 360. well it is, but it would be a 1-2 frame per second slideshow. despite what sony said - or have you not realised yet that nearly everything that comes out of their press releases are lies? - the PS3 simply cannot handle anything more than the most basic game in 1080p, same with the 360. the 360 has a great internal scaling chip though, so it can actually make native 720p games look good in 1080p. the PS3 cant.

they still all look better in 720p though.


infinity ward tested COD4 on the 360 in the beta because when testing for bugs in the actual game you need to test them on a stable, reliable, proven system. Xbox Live is one. the playstation network is not.

first proper trailer came out last week..
was shown in usa during the eastern conference finals
while celtics played magic..

its this week actually...... they showed like a 15 second trailer the other day promoting the first proper trailer thats coming out this week.

The only thing they need to really add, game mode wise to MW2 is the Zombies level, that was the most addictive thing about WAW, dunno how they gunna make zombies, can't be Nazi's anymore obviously but maybe terrorist zombies or something, I dunno, but they need it in there

But the Xbox 360 is terrible anyway...
