R200 Diff will not fit. The R200 is designed to be used in an IRS rear cradle in vehicles like the R32/R33 Skyline and S13/S14 Silvias amongst other rwd nissans. The Diff in your Skyline will be a live axle solid diff set up like a EA-AU Falcon or VB-VP Commodore. Best bet for the diff will be a Mini Spool. Can be picked up new on ebay for about $100, then just get a diff shop to fit it, like mobi diffs at springwood for example.
Suspension wise the best thing you could do would be to do a S13 Coilover conversion. Parts needed from an S13 Silvia/180SX/Cefiro/Laurel include:
A set of Coilovers (Can buy pretty good 2nd hand units for under $600)
Front Hubs
Front Rotors and Calipers (Up to you if you wont to buy new rotors and brake pads)
R32 Tie Rod Ends (The R31 Tie Rod Ends are too short and only screw on a few threads)
Lower Control Arms
Once you have all these parts all you need to do is remove the old stuff off the R31 and Fit the S13 parts up. On the rear you will have to redrill the strut tower holes as the standard R31 rear struts use 3 bolts to secure the strut while the S13 only uses two. Bleed the front and rear brakes and your done!
Apart from that some 17" wheels and good tyres on the front and some skidders on the rear and you will be set for budget skids!

And replace the r31 steering rack with an s13 steering rack. You'll have to get lines made up (around $150). Make sure you use s13 lower control arms otherwise the s13 rack ends are too long. They can be bought new for $77 from fulcrum, best value as they are brand new units with ball joint and bush, just bolt in.
S13 rack will probably need a little more bias to the left and a longer tie rod end on the right as the rack is a tad off centre.
You will get more camber from the s13 lower control arms as they are about 2-3cm longer.
Maybe use smaller wheel diameter like 15 or 16 so they turn easier as r31 diff ratio is lower than r32's ect. Unless you get a Nissan pintara diff crown wheel then you will get just over 4:1 ratio

Thread title is relevant so thought i'd post in here instead of starting a completely new thread -
.
Is a whiteline 27mm swaybar a decent upgrade for the rear swaybar? Id be looking at $179. Its the only one i could find listed for the R31. Any other reccommendations?
Cheers.

i've just doubled up my sway bar cuz i had 2, got the 2 together used a hose clamp to tie them in place put the rubber bush and their plates in between the 2, then put bushes n plates on both top and bottom works really well stiff as.

Just fitted my Whiteline anti-sway bar, using Whiteline bushes on the sway bar mounts, and nolathane bushes on the sway bar link pins.
Huge difference! steps out a LOT better, and MUCH more predictable, especially combined with the minispool.
Needs one for the front now i think. And a strut brace.
