Hi guys,

I have S13 coilovers in my 910 bluebird and they suffer from hitting the yoke of the diff into the floor pan on hard acceleration if lowered too much. Anyway, when i put the coilovers in, it only ever hit when i had people in the back seat. Lately however, im finding that its hitting a lot more often even with just me in the car. I have added preload to the springs but still hasnt fixed it.

Do coilovers eventually need gassing or servicing? They are HKS hypermax units.

Thanks

pretty common for coil overs to leak and become soft. best way to check is to remove a coil over and take the spring off. then push the shock shaft down. It should come back out by itself. If it doesnt then they are shagged.

ah ok, no worries, so would know if it is possible to regas them? i know rebuilding them from what i have heard is a little pointless in a lot of cases.
GreekWarrior
how long have you had them?

i bought them second hand a few years ago but the car has done bugger all mileage since certainly less than 10k

If they have gone soft cause they are leaking biggest problem is finding seals to suit/some one that can overhaul them.
