I'm currently re-spraying my car, and I was wondering if anyone knows what I have to do to change it on my rego details, do I have to take it over the pits, or pay anything to get the details changed?

i guess take it to the transport department of the state that your in

just call up the MVR or who ever you pay your rego to and tell the you have painted it, its free to change

Be aware that the majority of the time they require you do it in person and with the car present, as they *should* come out to check that it is indeed the colour you say it is. Whether they do or not is another story.

Yeh, usually you are required to take the car to your local DPI and make the change.

Yeah there is, pretty sure its a fairly large fine but I can't be arsed searching to find how much...
