Where to start??

This ute is similar to what i got

2000 TOYOTA HILUX RZN154R Xtra Cab



This is the front end i want !!



If anyone out there has done this conversion, i want to know four things

Where i can get the stuff from?
Whats needed? e.g. Bar, apron, bonnet.
Prices?
If its a DIY?

Any help is muich appreciated, im located on the Gold Coast.

Where i can get the stuff from? Panel house on moss st in brisbane
Whats needed? plastic apron, chrome bumper, Sr5 Grill, radiator support, bonnet, headlights if you want SR5 style
Prices? shouldnt be any more than $800 for the kit
If its a DIY? Yes quite easily done yourself.

I recently put Sr5 lights in

Old lights, and stock side door mirrors


new lights and SR5 side door mirrors

synergy what did those lights set you back? also you should strip the black off your grill and paint your badge black, i did and it looks sweet as.

hey synergy got a question for you. are those mirrors you put on go on the actual door or are they where the quarter glass is on some hilux's?

does that make sense haha

and mate to go from a 2000 model to a 02 model front youll also need a new bonnet and front quarters as the whole lot is different

so i guess youll need bonnet,front quarters, lights, parkers, bar, apron, grill and rad support. im sure there would be a few more things. just hunt wreckers, forums and panel house to gather all the different parts

what year model hilux did they come off. i guess post 02 but pre 04 model sr5s?

i think they changed it in 04, there just SR5 headlights.

The mirrors i got off ebay, pretty cheap. SR5 ones aswell, there way bigger and u can see heaps better

panel house is in 45 randall street slacks creek not moss st there phone is 38088737 i work there lol

also yes we deliver to coast im the driver lol

150each from panel house, unless u want projector headlights which were pretty kewl but cbf doing the wiring. The sr5 ones go straight in..

Did you use paint thinner to get the black off?

yeah man just thinners or metho works if you rub really hard. i either want sr5's or the chrome surrounds

on my old lux, i used paint thinner to make the black surroud chrome aswell, have u tried that?

THEN get sr5 headlights!

how hards the wireing in the projector lights?

Front Guards are the same.

they are different, as the front indicators/parker lights are slightly different sizes im prety sure, correct me if im worng?

help!!!!!!!!!!!!! fitting my sr5 light sup now - off the same year - but i think im missing a clip - any hints???

i bought the bracket from toyota was under $50. just went in to the parts department they let me look at a exploded view of a sr5 front end point out the part and bobs your uncle.

wouldnt be able to take a pic of it would you?

This is the part number for the bracket that attaches the inner side of the headlight to the radiator support pannel

noone mentions this in the kit you need to fit the lights

Cost me $24 for the two from motorama toyota

yeha mate thats the brackets you need, they have a bit of freeplay when u connect them its normal

grrr now need a dicky adjusting tool - to move them down as they point directly in the eyes of every oncomming vehical

Sorry for bouncing a little off topic... but can somebody please PLEASE supply a link for all the possible front end conversions for a 89 Hilux ute??!
Ive googled it to death and got nothing! =(

go onto www.downundertruckin.com and have a look at all the 89-96 model luxs with different front ends, there is so many different options..surf, 2wd, 4wd,phantom, newer model bumper etc.
