The time has come to move on the Purple People Eater, and enter greener pastures...I guess?
Anyway here's the obligitary:
Item: Mk2 Ford Escort
Item Condition: Mechanically A1, recently had close to all front end bushes replaced, rear drums re-kitted, new brake booster, wheel bearings replaced all round, new master cylinder, seats and probably a few other things I don't remember. Paint could do with some touching up, it's a tad rough up close and is the only thing that really lets the car down as a whole, if that kinda thing matters to you. There are a few small dings on the roof from the previous owner, not really sure how they got there, but would come out with a quick tap of the knockometer, though hardly noticeable unless up close.
Rego(if applicable): Is about to run out soon, but I will supply with 6 Months.

Reason for Selling: Had a few Escorts in my time (insert joke here) and would rather a different vehicle.

Payment Conditions: Giving me money would generally be the best way about it. Cash if you like, reach arounds and shiney pebbles aren't acceptable at this stage. Money Transfer or Cheque is also acceptable, though will have to wait untill cleared before I give the keys.
Extra Info: Comes with a bucket load of spare's, if infact the bucket was the size of a house. Wheels, gearbox's, and disassembled engine if you like, glove box's, center console's. I'll even give you a choice of steering wheel, the one picture below or an old school leather bound one with fair dish.
The car has also been fully retrimmed inside by the previous owner, including dash roof lining, door cards, and boot. I'd say he did a pretty good job myself.
Battery is located in the boot, in the spare wheel well, with apropriate battery box.
I also have 2L Uprated front struts with lowered springs, vented discs and Volvo 4-Pot brakes. Basically epic winrar front end set up that goes along with the sale. These alone are worth around $850+. They aren't fitted to the car and require the brakes be fitted to the hub/disc. Just a bolt on job basically.
The car is also equipped with a killswitch which is neatly placed at the console. It also has oil and fuel pressure gauges, albeit not tapped in yet, though everything I believe to do so is there. I never checked.
Interesting Note: The car was apparently dyno tuned at 110RWHP, alas I never saw the sheet's and couldn't tell you the difference between this engine and a regular 2L Pinto. There was a fair bit of kit with it, so it's plausible. The carb is a 38DGAS as found on GT V6 Capri's. This is the information I got from the previous seller:
"Worked running long Motor. stroked bottom end, o/s (over sized) pistons, blue printed & balanced bottom end, HV oil pump, + some other tricky things. Head has had heaps of money spent on it - Ported and polished, OS valves, Big springs, new cam followers and special Race cam Bearings, Massive lumpy cam (special custom grind), A guy by the name of Bob Holden did the work on it (he's a legend when it came to Escort's - raced them in Bathurst in the late 70's / 80's). This motors really pulls you back in the seat and hasn't given me one bit of trouble."
Fitted with a thermo fan w/adjustable temp gauge, located in the engine bay.
There is also a slot in the center console for a head unit, there's wires there to connect a head unit straight up to and there are speaker holes in the rear cards. Also there's apparently interior neon's that flash to the beat of the music. I'm not a fan of neons or music while driving particularly, so I've never used it. I did check the neons out, and they're there. Unfortunately.

Note: Fuel pressure gauge is no longer hooked up, as the electronic fuel pump crapped out, it was no longer needed. It still works perfectly fine and will come with the car. Have replaced with a mechanical fuel pump and works great. Also there is a cover fitted to the carby.
Note: New seats are now fitted. No more sheep skin awesome'o.

Here are some pics of the other wheels you'll also get with the car.
13x7 Rears 13x6.5" Up front, ROH 4-spoke jobbies. I painted them black because they where meant for a lighter coloured race car. Alas, it didn't happen. Touch of paint stripper will bring the black off, as it wasn't the most thorough of jobs, and IMHO they look a ton better polished up on the Mk2 than the 16" ROH's do. They also have basically new 195/65/13 All round, about 95% tread, I barely used them.
Also 2 - 13x5.5" Hotwires, with 205/60/13 tyres, a heap of tread, but the tyres are hard as a one eye'd cage fighter. Good for skids at the track.
I also have a set of 4x 205/60/13 tyres only, 90% tread but again, quite hard. Good for skids, or a bit of sideways action at the track.
Also I'm sure I mentioned that the entire car is rust free, as it had to be cut out and re-welded for rego, so the hard and, these days, expensive bit is done for you allready.
I also got a few snaps of the Strut/Brake set-up:
One's almost fully assembled as you see, just needs a bit of adjustment to get the caliper spot on, the other one isn't assembled at all. The discs are vented and I'm led to believe the calipers are a Volvo item. They would more than likely need new pads, otherwise fine.
