I'll be moving to to Perth in a couple of weeks from Tassie and I'll be bringing my car with me..

I've got a couple of questions to ask

1. I'll probably need to re-register my car in WA and that requires an inspection correct?

2. Where should I go? I have a set of test-pipes installed and was wondering if any workshop could glance over this.

Licensing Department Inspection Centre is where you have to go IIRC.

Have a look on the Department for Planning and Infrastructure website, head to the Licensing section and have a look around, relatively straight forward.

Also, wtf, WA is a hole, stay in the apple isle trust me.

Lol, WA isn't as bad as people say it is... I think the only other place I would live in Australia other then here is Brissy.

But to answer your question, you can finish up the registration from another state while the car is in WA however upon renewing it you have to take it over the pits for an inspection which can be done at 5 or so locations round WA. Just have a squiz at the DPI website. You don't need an engineer certs depending on how 'legal' your car is.

And yea id keep ur rego from tassi as long as possible, means u cant get yellow'd here haha
