i just bought a canon 450d and was wondering what setting do i use to take a picture where only the blue colours show???

i've seen a few pics like this from the spit and the backround is B&W but there is say a blue WRX and it's the only one in colour.
is there a setting on the camera or do u do it in some of the editing progams??
i have looked through the manual for the camera but couldn't find anything.

thanks in advance thumbsup.gif

In terms of keeping a subject in colour with the background in black and white, that's all done with layer masks/vector masks in photoshop.

Well thats how i do it anyways. Basically you have your main layer which is the photo you want, you then create a duplicate layer or an adjustment layer, then you can make that one black or white, or anything really, then with the brush tool you can paint over the subject you want revealing the colour from the layer below, thats the short version tongue.gif

would be better to do it in photoshop, with a better blend of black and whites rather than greys.

Only the smaller IXUS range camera's have the on board colour accent option where you can pick out a colour and have the rest in B&W for example the IXUS 75, 80, 850IS etc...the ones on here are normally done on photo shop.
