Hi my hilux is starting to run out of puff and i seen a thread on here a few weeks ago about the 3y and 4y's but i cant seen to find it anyore so ill just throw this up..

What the diffrents between the 3y and 4y?

And where can i buy one and how much aprox?

or u could jump onto ebay and they sell brand new 4y engines

Ebay/Rolin Imports on Gold coast sell brand new 4y crate engines for $1500.

Cant beat it.

Will bolt straight up as there is very little difference.

Rolin sell them for $1850 with all accessories as well from memory (clutch fan, waterpump, elec dizzy, carby, alternator etc etc)

Slightly more powerful but really the same thing.

Whilst mine doesnt have too much trouble off road, it could do with a engine conversion, something like a commodore v6 conversion. If you had a spare $2500 lying around there is a guy in the classifieds section selling a complete bolt in kit including engine etc, or this is a complete car with conversion on OL for around the same price. Depends if your still selling yours I guess.......
