Mate I think Zeeute is selling his gear but all in all it's just as easy to go to Harvey Normans or something and get a 1000D/D40x/K200D for next to nothing (around $1000).

If you don't know much about photography a 'prosumer' camera may be more what you're after, something with a long zoom but does it all for you and doesn't require a bag etc.. Something like a Fujifilm s5600 (or whatever they're up to now) or a Canon Powershot etc.. etc..

I know my sister is thinking of selling her Pentax *isd with a couple lenses and probably a bag, memory card etc.. all you need to get going if you're interested? Probably around the $500 mark though..
