I've got two, none for sale though, I refuse to let them go.
But things to get them sliding a little easier are suspension, Carby, exhaust and if you want to make it illegal, weld the diff up and have fun. Manual also helps alot.

You'll NEVER get a Lexus V8 into a KE70. Too wide, by a country mile.

Yes the 1UZFE fits in just fine, Sprinter/levin/trueno parts go in, the only thing that can't be used off of that car in the KE is the rear suspension.
A 308 also goes in, that's a scary enough conversion. Seen an RB in one. SR's go in comfortably, that's a little nuts too. But I'm just sticking with the 7AGTE(possible Z aswell). oh if you want to get slightly more lock out of the thing, but the steering rack out of an 86 into it. an extra tooth allows for more lock.

put 86 struts up front super low falcdog springs (if need be cut to get lower) in the back nolathane everythin, more tyre pressure in the rears, lsd or locker which ever comes 1st on your budget, you could go 4agte or gze like every1 does i hav seen a 2 j into a ke30 rolla done b4

ae86 and ke70 have the same floor plan, pretty much everything from a ae86 can fit into a ke70
for a cheap mods, get falcons springs cut them, lock the diff, exhaust and bigger carby and you will have a alright wet weather drifter but wont be much in the dryer
if you can spare 2k drop a smallport 4age in her
and a 1uz in a ke70

Everything you need to know.
But basically suspension and locker
Goes as far as ur budget tho
Cut falcon springs and lock diff
or
8kg springs front and 6kg springs back with matching shocks
Or
86 coilovers front and 5-7kg springs rear with strut braces, swaybars, corona xt130 LCA's. Etc the list goes on
But if you have a hell tight budget I would say go with the cut falcon springs, lock the diff, maybe some wider wheels anything from 14x6 to 14x8+.

Not unless you run cut falcons or something with a good shock like TRD Blues.

cutting springs makes NO differnce to handling, people think it does just because they always cut them and then still use standard stroke shocks.

Yes it does. Cutting springs lowers centre of gravity of the car and increases the spring rate of the coils. A good cheap improvement if you have only have a cheap hack. Ideally you'd have quality shocks matched to your chosen spring rates, but on the cheap it's not necessary to have some fun!

Apr 8 2009, 11:55 PM
yeh it doesnt make them noticably stiffer and especialy with the soft spring rates ke70's have
and the theres a difference between stiff and bouncy
bouncy is what you get when you have rooted/bottoming out shocks
stiff is what you get when you have decent shocks that actually have some stroke left in them and decent rate springs
as i said in the other thread
QUOTE
try get yourself some xt130 struts and brakes and LCA's, wil give you some camber bigger brakes and you will be able to fit heaps more shocks in them, some excel g's or something would work well, and theres heaps of cars that have springs that u can get from the wreckers for cheap and are plenty stiff enough, have a look at falcon gear
in the rear use some falcon au springs and im pretty sure like vs or vr shocks are good cos they are a little shorter than stock so still allows for plenty of travel
if you are keeping the 4k then i would say weld your diff and dont worry about camber cos if you have a 4k you are going to be sliding in the wet and in the wet there is no need for any camber as it just gives you less grip
