what have you got againest no head rest my xy doesnt have them and doesnt even have rear seat belts from factory so grow up and take your 2 cents elsewhere maybe a hooker that has some type of contagious symptom might take you for a shag

You know since the XY was built in the 70's technology has come leaps and bounds. Car makers have started putting in seat belts in the rear, Head rests, air bags, ABS brakes, power steering etc etc etc just to keeps dip shits like you alive. As i said I couldn't care less when you snap your neck in an accident due to no head rests. at least you will get your own special park at the shopping centre when buying your next play station game.

What i find amazing is that (and i assume your ute is a hilux) that the people that designed and built your car spent millions of dollars developing the suspension, getting it just right for the dynamics and handing of the motorvehicle and low and behold you know more than them and gut the suspension out. Do you even know what the suspension does and the cause and effect of not having suspension. Guess not , otherwise you would have left it alone.

Headrests are not there to give your little pumpkin something comfy to rest upon during long laps around the spit. They are there to stop your neck from breaking during a rear impact. Removing them is as much a defect as removing your seat belts.

Unfortunately because someone decided to call them head rests uneducated people presume that's exactly what they are for. They should be re-named something like anti whiplash device.

yeh i got done for no head rests in my rodeo and for stock seats in the front that he told me were wrap around racing seats from a ss =S so yeh cops need acouple of lessons in legal and elegal i took it to dot as it was and they said it was legal as is and it was lowered but to legal hight

yer have u guys ever noticed on a R33 for example the headrests are spaced up by a piece of rubber hose.. well they should be anyway when they are complied to aus standard they have to have a piece of hose put on the headrest posts to space them up to make them legal.. oh by the way im not makin this shit up its stuff like that auditors check when you run an import business....
