I recently bought a Canon 450d (Rebel), being my first Dslr I'm still learning on how to use it properly, I think I'm doing fine with day time phatography but with night time a lot of the photos are coming out fairly blue, is it becuase of how I'm using the camera or not, I'm thinking that its because of all the snow.

So here are a few photos, any advise will be great.

amazing scenery. the mountain one is my pick.shame about the trees though but you cant help that.

you could really pull of some awesome photos once you get to learn how to use your camera. youve got beautiful landscape around you! make the most of it!

Thanks, once I got here it wasn't hard to decide weather to get a Dslr or not, pretty much what ever direction you point the camera there is really nice scenery.

The first one is the resort that I am working at, the second and second last one is a mountain that you can see by looking at the end of the main street and the last is the town of Banff from one of the ski hills, I really need to get out and take more photos but its hard because it now gets dark at 5PM, plus its freezing outside, its now -16 and getting colder sad.gif.

Any one interested in coming over, visas arn't too hard to get and there are plenty of jobs around, you wont regret comming smile.gif

sweet, I might meet them next week, just got my ski pass, now I have to learn how to snowboard, didn't get much of a chance to learn back in Darwin smile.gif

EDIT: does anyone know of a website that I can put all my photos on and have it look like a photo album, at the moment I just use Facebook which is easy to upload photos on but not everyone has it.

OK here are some more, the one of the deer was taken from my front door, there are some berrys in the yard and they would come in and eat them, a couple of times I have walked outside and gone around the corner and had one looking straight at me smile.gif

make sure you go to lake louise, its a good spot to take photos too because you hire a canoe and row out towards the mountains and can get some good photos of the chateau thats there too. loved canada, hopefully one day i will get back there.

Been there a few times now, did the plain of 6 glaciers hike and up to Agnes lake, and everything between Banff and Jasper and over the Kelowna, going bad to lake louise in a couple of weeks when they have the ice sculptures so hopefully I can work the camera out a bit better by then, and also try ice skating, it is a huge lake, the first picture is of the Chaeteu lake louise, and the second is of the lake from 6 glacier.

I'm up at hidden Ridge on tunnel mountain, they are going under huge renovations at the moment, in the second lot of photos I put up the last one is the new admin building, and the new hot tub is huge.

I can't wait for new years though apparently some places have a cover charge $50 and up, I thought Australia was expencive smile.gif I will probably be on the streets for new years anyway, more fun stuff always happens.

Oh yeh, I just got up and its bloody -19 outside aahhhhh
