Dave (JustDave) and Lance have both owned this camera, Lance still does i think. As well my friend Damien at work owns one, great camera to use, and it would be a good starting point. I couldnt put a price on one straight off the bat, but you can always jump on ebay and see what they are going for.

ebay ranges from £200-£300
but i wasn't sure if this was a reasonable price for body only on a 2 year old camera

well there is a 40d and a 50d now in the series i sold mine on ebay with a bat grip no lense for $700 that was before the 50d came out.
i would say $500 fair price for it sold my 40 d for $900 just the other month if thats any help
out of the 30 40 50d i like the res on 50d but find the feel of the 30d great.

Well too late now. I got a 40D cause a) i had the money b) i like new toys and c) i got sick of my tired 400D with over 100,000 actuations.
