Hey guys, has anyone ever accidently locked their ipods and or forgot the code combination???

heres how you unlock it: 1stly connect your ipod to the computer, go into (my computer) and open access into your ipod, next step enter yhe ipods controls, here you will find a file called "_locked"

all you do is rename it to "_unlocked"

a mate of mine locked his ipod and could not get into it, so i looked into it and worked it out, this procedure may not work with all ipods but you can always have a crack at it

by the way im not sure if this has been posted before but here it is, i hope this helps..

while your at it, if your iPod ever freezes, hold the Menu and Center button together (With hold off)
and it will restart.

ur right, it is common knowledge, its in the quick start guide lol, i've used that, would it work for lhe locked ipod?

nope, once its locked its locked. resetting wont fix it.

lol yup done this to my ipod a couple of times damn younger sister looking it to have a laugh... i had the last laugh ahahha

Try putting it into restore mode. Plug it into your computer then press + hold the lock and home buttons at the same time.
