We fix several power steering hoses and units a month here @ work from most ford models stupid system they have.
However on a good note Ford have the cheapest OEM alternators on the market ! (they had to buy several thousand to cover warrenties and got a real good deal) ... lol

Yeah I must say that when I started my apprentiship I didn't have an opinion either way on Ford vs Holden. I've always been into oddball cars. But I swear to god %80 of stuff I worked on in a general mechanics worksop was broken Fords. Particularly the EA-EB series. Not Fords greatest moment.
That said I currently own a commodore that is one of the worst pieces of crap I've ever had the displeasure to drive around in. It sucks. I've always quite liked the red motors and some of the older stuff. But I will never own a prouct from either of those manufactures ever again.

)I'd agree most new cars are very poor a few exceptions but i can't afford them except for maybe a new Honda.
