I was crossing the street for lunch and right in front of me was Heikki and his family.

I couldnt believe it.

I had left the office literally 2 minutes before.

I stopped him for a chat and he obliged - nice bloke - wasn't happy with the season he's had but i was like "Well, there's always next year."

Its the second time ive met him but it was good to see him out and about shopping in Akihabara.

I seem to have a lot of luck meeting F1 drivers!

I have no idea who that is.

Hey thats pretty cool, did he have much to say about his performance this year at Mclaren ?

Yeah he took 5 to have a chat.

He said he wasnt happy personally about his year and also that he knows the car is great, but he was saying that he hasnt maximized himself, so i knew then that it wasnt the car or team but him.

Really nice bloke, totally ignored by all the Japanese around him - I spotted him instantly, did a double take and went over to say g'day.

Im spewing because i didnt have any business cards on me.

...you never know.



Oh and he didnt mention Hamilton so i did the smart thing and didnt bring it up either.

lol, no i didnt... it was a decent buzz. Its always awkward for them when so many people want a piece of you so i left it simple and only asked him for the pic which his dad took.

I just couldnt believe we crossed paths like that in the middle of a city that has 19 million people in it, lol.
