Well i was with Dodo dial up for quite a while and then upgraded about 2 years ago to broadband. Was all good, the little indian told me i had a 24.95 a month plan, etc, etc.
Was all good until the second bill arrived in at $69.90 and has stayed that way since. Apparently i have excess download, which is crap as the only thing i do on the net is look at boost and other forums like it, and maybe the odd pic of boobs on rare occasions. Now i didnt sign up for anything, and niehter was i told about a 2 year contract, but the pricks told me this was the case when i tried to get out of it.
Dodo service is crap..... they have fucked me around to no end. They even set me up another email address and started sending my bill there, they even changed my username without telling me, the shit is never ending.
Now they are sending me crap about signing up for a new plan. Not fucking likely!
So, who has a good internet provider?? Ive looked at bigpond, but ive heard they are crap too. Any recommendations? Speed isnt a concern as my computer is ancient and slow anyway, but i want a good price, decent service and i dont want to be charged at excess download rates just for looking at boost and boobs!!

iiNet has naked DSL. I'd get that just cause i'd be like 'yo bitch, im on the internet, naked and shit' and bitches be like 'owww wow' and i'd be like 'look at my head, its lop sided and shit, suck a dick ha ha'

Exetel, Internode, TPG or iiNet (in order of preference, due to iiNet counting uploads)
Dodo is the biggest bucket of shit, ever. The buckets of shit contain Telstra, Optus Fusion, Virgins Combined Plans, and anyone else that counts uploads. The easiest way to spot a Bucket Of Shit is to look for plans that use terms like 'generous 2gb of data'. The MINIMUM you should be looking for is 10Gb imo, more like 12Gb if they count uploaded data.
If youre a leech, or want to watch more porn (and hey, who doesnt) then go for TPGs 150Gb plans. Cause srsly, you can fit a lot of cock-in-vagina-and-other-assorted-orifices action into 150Gb.
EDIT: You know, for $69.90 you could have the 150GB plan with TPG (40GB peak +110GB off peak) on 24mbit ADSL2+..... Use bc.whirlpool.net.au to see what your options are though.
EDIT #2: In fact, if you went a naked DSL plan and used the ISPs VOIP plan (see: iinet) you could remove your home phone line rental and call charges all together. And depending on availability, with iinet you can often keep your existing phone number too. Choice, bro.
EDIT #3: On the topic of VOIP, with someone like PennyTel you can get untimed local + national calls for 8c a pop. And mobiles at 10c/min. And thats just their free plans, once you start popping 5 bucks a month on a VOIP plan (or use an ISPs VOIP plan) you can get FREEEE calls and SMSs and all sorts of shit. Embrace the interbutts Wattsy, your wallet will thank you. And then you can thank me, with the same wallet. PS - I also accept paypal.

Fuck that TPG is good. Optusnet Powerbundle $70 a month 20GB On peak - 40Gb Off-peak.

Oh yeah, I forgot he was in the middle of nowhere.
Fucks sake Wattsy, move closer to a city so you can get faster boobs.
BTW, Exetel is probably the best (only?) option for Rural farm boys looking to get their cow and milk maid porn. IIRC, they are literally the only Telstra competition in places like Bundaberg (sooo rural). Even Optus stays away from there, too scared of being chased out the good old boys in a pickup truck (incl gun rack) waving pitch forks.

Wait a second...

On the downside, this still leaves you with really limited options unless you want to spend big. For the 69.90 sort of mark, you could go with People Telecom on ADSL1, 5gb peak + 5gb off peak for 69.90 with uploads not counted. Or pay another 10 bucks a month for 10gb peak + 10gb off peak. Thats 8mbit ADSL, you could go back to 1500 and get 25gb peak data (no off peak bonus) for 69.95/month.
PS - I have no idea who's phone number that is, just the first random entry I found for GOONELLABAH

Our phone number does the same thing, yet we've got ADSL2+ already

I use greypag.es to find the phone number of someone else nearby and use that instead. Usually happens if youre number is a 'new' number and isnt listed yet.

Did you use bc.whirlpool.net.au? Put your phone number in and find out what other options you've got. While Exetel will likely be the best choice, according to that search I did they arent in your exchange yet which means it may not be a choice at all.
But pretty much ring Exetel, TPG, iinet, internode, people telecom either way, and write down whatever plans they offer you. Then post it in here, and we will analyze it for you

doooooodddd , Exetel won't show up as being available as they use Telstra Wholesale hardware. You can get Exetel at any exchange in the country where Telstra has hardware with available ports
