Ensure your Security level for Internet is set at its default? Tools / Internet Options / Security, click on 'Internet' and use the slider to choose 'Medium-high' (if you click on 'Custom Level' at the bottom, you can choose Reset custom settings to Medium-high (default), and hit reset to be sure)
If its still giving script errors, I'd start tracking down malware/spyware. Scan with
http://www.safer-networking.org (Spybot Search & Destroy) and
http://free.grisoft.com (AVG Free) to start.
