The 5D series was made aimed at the portrait photographer, due to the full frame, high megapixel, slower FPS.
By using a crop camera, 1DmkIIn/MK111, or even the 50D, not only offer frame rates double that of the 5D (which, personally for me is the priority for sports photography) but the crop sensor allows for better telephoto magnification, therefore saving money on glass.

My thoughts anyway. Each to their own.

Nice set, i'm sure everyone will comment about the shit on the sensor so I wont bother. #4 is a very MMead styles but I like that regardless so it's good shit (I love the skies in these big shots too, plus they give this big 'epic, car conquering the world' feeling.. to me anyway). nice shot for the 1/5th pan too.

Only real issues I'd mention are #10, whites are blown..
#8, There's something about this shot that makes it look not up to par with the rest, both comp & IQ. Not meaty enough, contrast is down, colours aren't real grabby.. It doesn't pop like the others do.

But the rest I'd have to say look good, especially #1, that's some good shit (you could even mistake the dust being bits of shredded tyre ).

EDIT: Oh and the watermark? Don't like it. I just had to say something negative Just quietly I think it's quite suave and prof. looking.

You've got great control on slow s/s
Number 6. The grass for me is in the way. Slow s/s has minimised it but is still in the way
Watermark is discret which is nice and doesnt get in the way of the picture

I like the processing on the first one dude.. nicely done

#2 is glorious, love the DOF how it's angled too. Good colour and contrast. The black strips help with the framing and giving that contrasty feel too.

Crazy to trade your 24-70 for a 50! haven't seen much portrait work from you really at all.. Especially with the 24 on FF.
