I have a little problem with my hilux.
If i approch a vertical or near embankment no matter how large it is I can get up if I attack it dead straight on. But if i attack it on an angle I can't even get up a 2 foot rise.
The front wheel scrubs on the guard when i attach anything at an angle, could this be causing my problem?
What can I do to help me get up things on an angle, body lift, more suspension lift?
cheers.

You will probably find you have an open diff in the front. When you go up straight both wheels have similiar if not the same traction. When you go up on an angle you will find one has less traction. This means being an open diff the one with the least resistance will spin, causing you to go nowhere. Lockers are good for fixing this.

When it comes to lockers everyone has their own opinions, mine are based on what I have done and it worked for me.
If its IFS, get an auto locker up front and a air locker for the rear most will be happy with the auto locker and wont fit a rear one.
If its solid axle depends on your needs and tracks you frequent, but I would say air front and rear as they are more capable with some flex and therefore gives you the opportunity to try stuff unlocked.
