A GT42r will not be on boost at 3000rpm. even on a rb30et. Depends on what trans you are running. Give you an idea. I run a 26/30 behind a powerglide. with a GT42r. its on full boost at 5200rpm.

hmm, but when that 42r is on song, it would be a sight to see. I just hope your internals can handle what a gt42r has to offer you. If your not willing to see the potential of these turbos I wouldnt bother getting one as they are turbo that likes the high boost 20-30+ psi

I have a 42R on my VL with .96 exh side... comes on boost around 4800rpm and comes on hard... my suggestion to you is a 35/40.. they seem to do the trick as the 'all rounder' 42 is a lag monster but great fun

With my GT42 I'm on boost under 5000. Get Gas if you want to run a 42 & make it come on quick.

yeah depends what manifold you stick it on. 42rs on xr6 turbos are at full boost at 3500 if setup correctly but they are a much bigger engine. imo that size is way to big for that size engine unless its bombed
