i managed to pick up a really cheap manual s13. its a ca18de, but at the price i payed for it i wasn't going to winge. its 100% stock. except for a momo steering wheel.
power is not really an issue atm that can come later. i just wanna set the suspension and everything up right first. if anyone knows where i can get some cheap or even second hand DECENT coilovers please let me know. other than the coilovers, strut braces and upgraded sway bars what will i need?
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!!!!!!!
thanks peeps.

you bought the cheapest silvia but you want to set it up for drifting which costs alot of money, I think you may need to re-think your plans.
clutch-monkey
or maybe it's because the question has already been answered a million fucking times, if you knew how to use the search button.
demon drifter
Castor rods, decent drivers seat, LSD, decent front wheels and tyres, as much bracing as you can afford or fabricate.

As stated, there are plenty of other threads that have covered this question.......but the list above should keep you busy for a while. smile.gif

Thread cleaned ... again ...

Lets just keep it civil shall we ?

Demon drifter has it right , only missing a decent set of coilovers in the list

And Clutch monkey is right ... this topic has been covered over and over again.

I would get a SR20DET half cut rather than spending shit loads on the CA. but that can wait and be done atfer you have flogged the CA.

Coilovers, lsd and weight reduction are and good start.

Dont worry about getting really flash wheels or the back since the stocko's are fairly good for sliding with no power.

Hold of body mods since they only get broken

Try JDM Garage for cheap coilovers.

Other than those you'll need some sort of LSD or a locker. Depending on budget it might be a mechanical 2-way or 1.5way (depending on driving style) or just the standard R200 Viscous LSD tightened.

Swaybars would be a good next pick - try WhiteLine for front and rear ones, or I think you can modify a GTR one to suit an S13 (not 100% sure but)?

Camber arms, castor arms, toe arms, tie rod ends, new lower control arms, steering braces, wheel spacers....the list can go on and on.

First off but:
- Coilovers (JDM Garage)
- LSD/Locker (JDM Garage/IAP)
- Swaybars (WhiteLine)
- Lots of stockos
- Skidpad (look on SecretDrift.com.au)

Get sliding...don't need lots of power to get sideways.

hey i got a lil question, why do alot of ppl say u need spacers for drifting is it so when ur wheels r at full lock so it dont rub on the inside of the guard or wat
SMiTHBRo
You don't need spacers to drift. Usually they are just a dodgy solution to clear wheels/guards/coilovers or to make crappy wheels look like they have more suitable offset.
