Hey
I have a S13 SR20DET
I need new bushes for my castor rods, so i thought it could be a good time to upgrade to poly urethane bushes.Untill i found how much they are worth,$1050.Then need to get tham installed.
I think in my case $1,000 would be spend much better on a Power FC....
So what are they like. How much does it improve there handing etc
cheers

Hey mate,
My 2008 WRX just had all its bushes replaced with polyuthene, an it made the biggest improvement to the handling, every single bush got replaced they also fitted a anti kit at the same time. comparing the car to standard form made a unbelievable difference to the handling of the car.

Or do as i did and replace all your suspension bits that use bushes with Solid, Rosejointed aftermarket arms.

NO bushes = win, but rough ride hehe

For 200 bucks you can have brand new aftermarket adjustable castor rods. That re[;aces the ENTIRE castor rod. Far better option.
I strongly suggest you find another mechanic, as your current guy is trying to ass rape you.

the only way that make sence is if you were quoted to replace the whole arm with genuine fluid filled caster arms.
As 20V said, full adjustable arms with pillow ball mounts can be had for as little as $200. far better option, then go back and kick your mech in the nuts.

i think u speak blasfamy!!!
we pay mechanics around what $14-$20/hour the rest goes to the greedy bastard whose name is on the wall, who 9/10 times never gets anywhere near a pos.
i do all my work i can possible do. purely to avoid paying these bastards, who in some cases do more damage than good.
im more than happy to pay more to a good mechanic, but thats what the cashie system is all about.
