I did have a look at SWMotorsports handbrakes. I'm wanting to see other designs to compare as I need a fairly compact design.

Hydro handbrakes are over rated............ Waste of time, money and space in my opinion.

I always ran my factory cable handbrake, with cheap nasty shoes fitted to the rear and never had any issues with heat, in fact they locked easier when they got warm. And let the record show, i have always been a massive fan of the ass drag (Feels so much safer than clutch kick towards the wall lol).

I have used several hydro's and found them to be a bastard to use, they mess with the brake pedal feel etc. They look horrid, take up space........AND cost money.

If it aint broke don't fix it.........I am a big fan of modding a car, but i try to avoid replacing stuff when factory items will suffice.

Im currently modding my S14 for drifting and i was thinking of gettin a hydra handbrake, so a standard handbrake can work ok in the rigors of drifting?

I heard the japs dont like hydra handbrakes, they prefer normal cable handbrakes.

Get some good rear rotors and, like Nico said, some cheap nasty pads and your stock one will work fine. Might need to tighten it a bit to get better feel, but thats no worries.

Personally I think handbrake should only be used as a beginner technique, and to adjust line once a drift has been initiated, so why spend money on one...
