first two shots are some work i've been doing for a company named 'photopool' shooting sports in Adelaide, in this case SANFL:

the next two are some recent lanscape shots, the first is of New Port Quays, was hoping to get a train passing through but long story short i missed two of them:

this second shot is of Largs Bay Jetty about half hour after sunset:

heres a shot of two 7's up at mount lofty. (just thought i'd throw in a car shot.)

some experimental stuff, a bamboo tree in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens:

little more experimental:

couple of shots from a wedding, bridesmaids:

Newly weds, first dance:

One last random shot of a skateboard demo at Adelaide City skate.
Brian Anderson, Varial Flip:

hope you enjoy, comments welcome.

I dig your shiz. I like the experimental stuff and the skate one. I don't like your AFL stuff because it's boring magazine-style stuff

I have a comment, you need to post up more photos.
and you need to chillax a little, people here tend to be a bit slow in getting around to commenting.
I like the pedestrian sign one but signs are signs, there's nothing really exciting about them but the colour is good and I think it suits the picture.

top photos mate - very well done , might be a stupid question but how the hell do you make everything black and white and the flowers colorful etc? photoshop ?

Google "selective colour".
While your playing with that, you can experiment with saturation and it's brother, desaturation. They make some very nice effects sometimes.

cheers, for the comments.
yeah what Nick said, once you get the hang of it can turn a boring photo into something much better.

Loving the lightning shot, little more contrast would be good, bridge shot is good but I think it would look sweet in B&W.

Colour is good. The 300 f/2.8 is an awesome lens is it not!
Used one a few times on my 30d and it rocks

Jun 14 2008, 12:14 PM
soo good, wish i could afford it, i use that and a 400 2.8 sometimes, they're both a mates. i'd love to buy my own but just can't justify something that size being worth more than my car lol.
Lance
Jun 14 2008, 01:07 PM
lol yeah. dream setup for me is 1D Mkiii, 400 f/2.8 and 1.4tc. Thats just for surfing
Nick_
Jun 15 2008, 05:09 PM
Not a 1Ds? I guess you'd need the better FPS for surfing. D3's are just that little bit faster though!
Lance
Jun 15 2008, 05:20 PM
Ill take any of the mkiii's

not picky

Very nicely composed mate, are these the ones with the F/4 im assuming?
Before i grabbed the 2.8, i'd looked at the F4 and thought ah well if im going to go an L series may aswell go all out. Heard they are still just as fast though. But it was the drive down to purchase it that made the difference in getting the 2.8 or 2.8IS!
