Dude, they dont come with those O-Rings cause you arent supposed to seperate the halves. They have a very very high torque setting
Phil Kerr makes braided lines and shit, maybe he'll have the o-rings to suit.
I had to seperate some supra four potters (made by sumitomo) They are cast aluminium and cast iron on each side. I reused the o-rings without dramas. They are fine, provided they dont get wet and havent been exposed to the atmosphere for too long.
Being a 90' edge, repco should have them.
More importantly, when you have a look at the two sides of each caliper arounsd the area where the o-ring sits, make sure its dead flat, its kind of like head gasket style mating. Gotta be a spotless, almost machined finish.
I assume on your calipers, there is only one oil gallery that allows fluid through to the other side (so 2 orings in total yeah?)
yes they are sumitomo
no they weren't tightly done up at all, I've put one back together done up to 35 ft pounds (i feel that is enough for them), yes i stoned both surfaces before assembly, bit of anti seize, obliviously someone had been there before. i took them apart sandblasted and painted them. just me being the tool i am i lost one. I'd go get one from cbc, but I'm not sure if its the same material cos if it isn't the fluid is just going to deteriorate it.
took them apart took all the fluid went solid and crystallized.
phill kerr make braids and stuff but doesn't generally supply so i guess my best bet would be winnillie brakes, then kerrys nissan provided i can put up with the mindas with the import cd in japanese and thinking he is 100% right like last time. no there is no such engine as a SR20DET only come out as SR20ET see look computer says I'm right...
