this is a quick guide on how to make your plastic headlight lenses crystal clear like new.its a very simple job all you need is

-a tin of cutting compound that you would use to cut the paint on your car
-and an electric buff , if you dont have an electric buff the results wont be as good but it is still worth doing

basicly all you need to do is spread the compound on a small part of the lense then begin buffing you will see the results intsantly, once the compound is all polished off wash with a wet rag to remove the excess. if the head lights are quite dirty like mine were you may need to do it a second time

Toothpaste is also excellent...does a great job of removing small scratches and winding lines from windows too....rule of thumb is that if you can feel the scratch when running your nail across it then it's too deep to remove totally. anything less should disappear with a little toothpaste and elbow grease.

And please don't ask where you buy elbow grease from!!! jerkit.gif lol

Ive been lead to belive that unless you use a product with a sealer. Using abrasives on headlights will actually make them more vunerable to U.V exposure.

Yea i tried it on my VY's lights and it seemed to rub away a film over the lights.
They're shiny again but have a patch on them that looks like its rubbed through a layer.

NEVER AGAIN will i do it on a late model car

nice work.
any tyre shine with silicon base only will help any dull lights.
keep away from abrasives on dull lights.
a light cut as the tutorial works. then a light hand wax.

seen people use panit thiners on them .... this fucks them gets more of a haze.
