I still use film but have never bothered using my scanner, the way i see it is you gotta go get your film developed and get prints why not forget the prints and just get them put straight onto cd it does'nt cost that much more since your not getting prints and its a lot less hassle.

Yeh i forgot you can do that nowdays, would make it alot easier if they were on cd, how much does it cost, and what resolution are the images? something the equivalent of a 7megapixel camera photo would be good.

I'm unsure about size but don't worry you will be able to get big prints. Photo Continental do film processed then onto cd for $13.00 3849 4422 at Mount Gravatt.

I used some film last week, but I'm feeling much better now, thank you.
(Got a Pentax SLR, but I think I just used the last roll of flim I will ever. Got a Nikon DSLR now.)

I've just recently switched to digital.
But honestly, I could never give film up. As many professional photographers have said, digital prints cant mimic the magic of film, and I totally agree.

I still rattle off some 35mm every now and then. Mainly B&W film, high ISO stuff for dramatic effect for street shots.
Using an Pentax MZ-50 and some old school glass (50mm f/2 full manual etc.).

I just picked up an oldschool Praktica film SLR with a 50mm 2.8. No AF and the light meter is gimmicky so I just run off what I think should do it.
Have only yet to get one roll processed. Had a Ilford B&W film nailed by a camera shop who said they could develop it and then ran it through c41 which is apparently the wrong agent. Came out blank.
Will get some more B&W film now I can develop my own film, just need the film, shots and chemicals

I use both,99% digital (D70S) but also have a Practika.
Was my grandfathers' camera,it does bring out excellent shots for B&W "arty farty" shots

Gee that's not a tad biased!!
Anyone got any tips on home-processing of film? I've got everything inc a 24v powered drying cabinet and am now going to get some chemicals from photocontinental and start putting some rolls through the old Praktica, however I feel for street stuff an AF camera like the MZ-50 and a 80+ 2.8 prime would be good fun.

I've got a couple, Fujica ST-605 and a Pentax MZ-60 with 28-80.
I've got two kodak brownies here to I wonder if they still work haha
I'm going to start shooting film once I get a job and can afford to process film etc and see how I go, I'm really interested in doing some street stuff etc.

Was at PC on the weekend and a whole set of Ilford chemicals is about $45 and will last me a whole long time.
The only problem with film is having a set asa(iso) which is a tad annoying as you can't just adapt to all situations as easily. Ahh Digital, it does have many pluses. Still my idea will be having the 40 and the 500 and shooting with both, just swapping from time to time and then developing my own negs to see if I want to get any printed.

i've actually got a few rolls I need to get of my ass and have developed. They'll be shocking quality due to lack of practise with film but I do enjoy the odd pic
