Thought I would throw up a poll to see what the members of Boostcruising prefer.
So which is it, Sport Compact(4's,6's & Rotors) or Pro Street(Old School 6's & V8's)?

I go to all the meets at Willowbank through out the year and I do love some of the old school v8s - but if it came down to being left on earth with only one to choose from, id have to say sport compact due to the fact a lot of the classes in Sport Compact are designed to promote the use of Technology which gets me more excited than just cubes. The Pro Turbo Class within the Sport Compact Group Drag Racing Series (Not the Andra Series), are now running more and more in the 6 sec bracket which in faster than Pro Stock - And the cars in the class (Mostly supporting 2js and 20b rotars) produce up to 800hp more power which means in time the ET's will come down even further. Tony Wedlock is the perfect example of a traditional drag racer that has now made the leap to Sport Compact - Pro Turbo. And rumour has it that a bunch of guys are about to follow due to manufacturer interest being in racers that are racing current model bodied cars.

Even though I have a turbo 4 i still love the pure un political correctness of ProStreet cars.
Blown, Injected with massive rear rubber in a thinly disguised street car

I like them BOTH each class has good and bad points. The sound of a blower screming, or a turbo on 30-40 psi boost. both very quick classes.

What about a monster ported 20B idling in the staging lanes? It always does it for me

Its all a matter of apoinion. but i can't wait till the NEW pro street class kicks off as a andra class. I think chicargo shoot out style where everyone runs 3 rounds of racing to gain points and the 2 highest points leaders go into the final.....makes for awesome racing

Sport Compact all the way. It is the sport of the future!
There is not a lot better in any drag racing bracket than a 20B or 2JZ banging on the 2 Step,
ahh the flames, the noise, the excitement...
bring on Compak Attak where we will see both Pro Street & Sport Compact.
I must admit the Pro Street bracket it pretty cool to watch, but why dont they have an
Outlaw PRO STREET to allow full tube cars? Or will they?
I know it gets away from the idea of pro street but seriously they need to allow these cars
to be involved under the PRO STREET bracket ie Matt Lisle's Mr Enforcer TTV8 Probe and others currently has no class other than Super Sedan...

I love watching sports compact because these cars are a big part of the future and embody a lot of the old school ethos of WAY too much grunt trying to pedal down the track!
However my heart is in Pro Street!
More and more Pro Street cars are adopting modern management technology and turbo's and jamming it on old fashioned cubic inches - I LOVE it!
Cheers,
Jason

Man... i luv both of these classes, i wish i could see lots more of both, i freaking luv the compacts jus coz of the awesome backfires on these 6 sec 2jz and how they fukn launch, then theres the pro street ... man ive seen some tough cars but not so many in one group. If it where up to me these classes would be at every major meet in the country

I would say Pro Street. It's hot, it's cool and it's groovy. And unbelievably fast or so I hear. But I wouldn't mind getting the Sports Compact either. It's a tight race, I think.

This one is easy. Pro Street is King. Long live Pro Street. Nothing better than a steel car with way too much motor and way too little a tyre. Pro Street is where the tough cars live. Remember that "Anyone can make a light car fast"
