they are actually doing training. Qld coppers go out to Sth Straddie every few months and deliberately bog vehicles to learn how to get out of situations, I have seen it first hand.
They put it into 2wd to bog it right down to diff's then use snatch-straps.....best way to learn is by doing.
You would be very surprised at the places police can get to in these fairly standard 4wds, even with normal wheels..............PS it is quite easy to drive on sand with normal tyres if you know how!
