MT ET Streets would be a good choice for a tyre, traction should be alot better with these tyres

MT ET Street Radials - Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!! 255/50/16 a good size for trayback ute - I used them on the street & fear going back to LT's ohnoes.gif .

The standard diff will be more than adequate....I'm not sure of the factory ratios available for the Mistui rear, but if you fin you can't get a ratio to suit your needs then throw either a Hiace or Hilux diff in.

Caltracs are a must if you intend taking it on the strip. I'm yet to install them, but with standard springs & the MT ET's down on 16psi my truck could reliably hook flat 2.00 60's without too much power off the line. Put the Caltracs on & you can really force the issue launching as you won't have to worry about winding up the diff & getting axle tramp

thats a load of junk ... caltracs are junk imho jsut put some slapper bars on it for exapla look at 04rcn ran 10.00 with spallers on a std datsun leaf sprung set up witht he hi lux diff...... caltrac are preloaded items and if they not set up right your in a whole lot of strife... for the e.t's you boys are talkingabout slappers are the way to go for leaf spring rears... i have a std coil sprung rear on my commo ute and its gone deep 1.5's to the 60 foot

And legality of these Slapper bars?

They cool for street use?

Any idea on pricing ??
15uzu
Yeah...nothing wrong with using slapper bars......just a cheaper way of doing the same thing. You should be able to build yourself a set for under $200 if you can weld. Not sure on the current legalities for street use....they used to be ok, but with recent changes to the laws they might be illegal now.
TuFFvs
they are 100% legal .. you can make some without welding all you need is some 40x40 or similar box section a skateoard wheel or 2 and some bolts and som time .. verry easy to make ... and they only come in to effect when you leaf sprins are trying to wind up and start to twist..

I fear you may have hit the nail on the head.......I know of at least three other turboed trucks here in Brisbane...they're probably scared of the fuzz finding out who they are & being targeted in the minitruck blitz dunno.gif .
voodz
Well, all i have to say that if they "ARE" just main street boosters and blow-off valve warriors they deserve to be picked up by the coppers..... we've got enough tossers on the road as it is!!

I know that I'll be quite happy to listen to any "Officer" that believes something needs to be changed or modified so that my truck may be driven safely and conform to Australias road rules.
So long as The RTA can back it up !!

Hey, that doesnt mean my heart will stop beating faster when i see the Red n Blues ohnoes.gif HaHa.

2003 toyota hilux. 3rzfe 2.7lyr engine
Engine: 3rzfe with a gt3582r turbo, custom manifiold full 3inch exhaust and dump with resonator.
4inch inak for turbo, Full adaptronic ecu with mafles tune. 570cc injectors. bosch 044 fuel pump
Running 10psi pulled 200rkw with slipping clutch.......pull a flat line on the dyno when clutch was slipping and was about 3/4 into the tune on the dyno. Expected to get 220rkw. We didnt expect this ammount of power and thus the injectors are at max so with a cosmetic head gasket and arp studs plus some bigger injectors and a custom intake and forged internals its a 300rwk engine.

BUT>>>>> ive gotta work out the suspension and gearbox. next step is a r154 geabox lsd semi slicks do a disk brake conversion on the back....... and the list continues
No pics yet as its waiting for a custom 400hp clutch to be fitted.
