Yep!! You read it right guys and girls.
Due to popular demand, Powercruise is heading west and I cant wait to see what the sand gropers have to offer in the tough car stakes.

Barbagallo Raceway have given us the green light to go ahead with Powercruise #15 at their venue and the date is set for the 11th & 12th of October 2008.

The website will come together with info as soon as I get done with a few other events but if you’re looking to see what Powercruise is all about, just pop into any of our other events and check out what all the fuss is about.

click on WA at www.powercruise.net for further info

Oz's Wildest Crusin Car Show is heading to the West....

You guys are going to LOVE the CARLINE MUFFLERS POWERCRUISE!!!

As long as your ride is neat & tidy (no rust, different coloured panels etc) you will be able to enjoy Powercruise #15. If you own a 4-cylinder, 6-cylinder, rotary, V8, supercharged, big-blocked, gassed-up or turbo-charged streetcar then Powercruise is the event for you...

Cruise the Barbagallo Raceway V8 Supercar Track in your streeter with your family & friends in a safe controlled environment or come out for the driving events and race your mates in the Off-Street Racing competition. Blow the tyres off your ride at 8,500rpm in the Burnouts, Powerskid your way into the history books or Drift your way from turn 1 through past turn 6. Maybe you've got big HP under the bonnet in which case, the Lukey Performance Exhaust Dyno Shootout is for you. The Show and Go is another popular event where you can get your vehicle judged then hit the track for some more cruising action...

Know a gorgeous looking spunk... The Miss Powercruise Competition and after dark Wet-T-Shirt comp is always looking for a hottie to crown.

Check out the website and view the other states for a headsup on what to expect. It's the Maddest Car Show You'll Ever Go To!!! thumbsup.gif

BTW... I reckon you could expect to see this car come across the Nullabour from the East to cut a few laps...

Sounding good!

Sounding GREAT!! When was the last time West Aussie car enthusiasts got the offer to do the above mentioned events all at one place, over the same weekend and throw in Camping overnight so you can wake up early and hit the track from around 7am the next morning???

Hopefuly Western Australia will welcome and support this event 110%. I mean the event can't be successful in QLD, NSW, the NT and Tasmania for no reason... Support this event & get behind it as it'll definately become one of your annual favourites...

Motorvation?

But some of the MV treated us like shit this year!

Will be at powercruise if camping is 110% permitted!
Nick
It all depends on how the import scene are treated, as we recieved pretty rough treatment at Motorvation.

But I will definately be there to check it out, just hope it is as good as all the hype is making it out to be!

I'll post again... If you own a 4-cylinder, 6-cylinder, rotary, V8, supercharged, big-blocked, gassed-up or turbo-charged streetcar then Powercruise is the event for you...

Powercruise isn't dominated by a single demographic of car enthuisiasts. Hell if you've got a Jet powered Suzuki... Bring it along...lol

As far as being as good as the hype... It's 100% up to the entrants. It's the diversity of entrants cars that makes the event.

The Powercruise is a proven formula remembering that it's just about to run it's 11th official Powercruise event, 3rd One Day PowerPlay (1 day Powercruise) and 5th Powercruise Pro Street Shootout (Street Car Drag Racing event) ALL in just 4 years.

If you've heard about Powercruise but don't know what to expect, my advice is get copies of the Powercruise DVD's (available at Supercheap Auto) and jump onto Boost discussions about Powercruise in other states like Darwin, Sydney or Brisbane and ask the locals what they think & why it's so good...

If you have any questions about the Carline Mufflers Powercruise, feel free to fire away...

up in darwin we even had 4x4 mud racers turn up to powercruise.....

the main thing is to get out and have some fun...no matter what you drive thumbsup.gif
Jamie Boy
well i believe that no matter what car you drive if you have a passion for cars and want to be original and not just blend in then it dosnt matter what you drive.

Some people say to me "why do you want to spend money on a camry" and i reply with "why do you want to spend money on a commodore/falcon"

Hey Jamie Boy... Well said!!

I can tell you that your Camry would fit right in at Powercruise. We don't care what you drive, as long as it's tidy and it gives you a thrill putting it through its paces around a V8 Supercar track...

I'm going to have a go at covering just about all brands that have entered Powercruise events before and if your car falls under that brand, get your entry in to save money for the Maddest Car Show You'll Ever Go To...

AMC
Audi
BMW
Chevrolet
Chrysler
Daewoo
Daihatsu
Ferrari
Ford
Holden
Honda
Hyundai
Isuzu
Jag
Kia
Lada
Lexus
Mazda
Mercedes Benz
Mini
Mitsubishi
MG
Mopar
Nissan
Peugeot
Porsche
Plymouth
Proton
Saab
Smart Car
Skoda
Suzuki
Toyota
Volvo
VW

If your car doesn't come under any of these categories, don't worry... I'm sure with a photo, Gup will accept your entry to take part in WA's first experience of Oz's Wildest Cruisin Car Show...
powercruise gup

G'day trikdoutvl...

I'll go about answering your questions one at a time -

Entry Numbers - In over 4 years and 12 Powercruise events, we've only had to limit numbers once which was at Powercruise 12 in Sydney recently. Entrant numbers were capped at 913 entrants to ensure that we could maintain offering everyone a fair amount of track time.

Is There Scrutineering - Yes there is. Scrutineering will be conducted inside Barbagallo Raceway and entrants won't be able to access the track until their vehicles have been scrutineered. What do we look for? As a guide, go to this link www.powercruise.net / Event Guide and scroll down to 4. CAR SAFETY CHECK / SCRUTINEERING. It should tell you everything you need to know otherwise please feel free to PM me or ask away here.

Tom, Dick & Harry - If Tom, Dick & Harry are over 18 years of age and have a valid drivers licence (P Plate or Open) then yes they are entitled to enter Powercruise 15. If they want to bring their Mum's V6 Commodore or Dad's XR8 Falcon, no problems as long it's a clean and tidy ride. All entrants have to submit a photo of their ride with their entry form so Gup can go through and make sure there's no crappers with multi colour guards and rust hanging out everywhere.

How Many Entrants - That depends on how well Western Australians embrace and ultimately attend the event. Powercruise isn't coming to replace anything or any event, what it does is offer West Aussie's is a chance to put another quality motoring event into their calendar every year.

What's The Cost - Depends on how early you get your entry in...
Between now and August 18th - $120 for 2 days
August 18th to September 26th - $180 for 2 days
After September 26th and including "On The Day Entry" - $240

My suggeston is go to the Carline Mufflers Powercruise 15 - WA website and explore the information... There is a tonne of it plus Videos and Pictures...

Please don't hesitate to ask questions though!!

Well can you believe people that WA's first Powercruise is just a week and a half away...

Entries are flying in & I can tell you there are going to be thousands of people spread across Barbagallo Raceway and I can confirm there will be more than 550 entrants Cruising, Racing, Skidding & Drifting their way around the track... not to mention camping.

If you're in WA & you haven't heard about Powercruise coming... Jump straight on to www.powercruise.net to find out how you can be a part of Oz's Wildest Cruisin Car Show... drool.gif drool.gif
