just so people realise the above

any series 2, as in 87 vl has the same block as a turbo model
also every single rb30 head is the same

makes finding an engine alot easier

even the r31 skylines are the same

are the R31 blocks the same?

the only different between the na vl blocks and the turbo blocks was the oil drain plug on extractor side, in the middle above the sump,

in the 87 and on they only produced the one block and the na engines had a nut put in there (for obvious reasons)

andy's engine he sold to bj flat mate whoe sold it ot ella had the nut as per the series 2 (not that there was a series to but people called the 87 on vl's series 2) and is now what's in ella's engine out of a r31 skyline
