does anyone have any idea of what this noise could be??

whenever i go over bumps, sometimes there's this big thump.. its coming from the rear part of the ute.. at first i thought it was the exhaust or something hitting the ground but i was wrong.. so im thinking maybe its the diff hitting whatever it is above that, or maybe the suspension is bottoming out and hitting bumpstops.. the guys at pedders took out a whole leaf and put 2 1/2 blocks in so it is pretty low.. im jus wondering what this noise is and how to fix it without having to lift the back again..

the same thing happens to my truck
it is because you have taken the leaf out ... if you put it back in it wont happen
but when it dose make that noise its not damaging your car

ooh ok that's what i was worried about.. so the only way to fix it is to put the leaf back in??

by the way.. is taking a leaf out legal?? when they did it i was jus like wtf!! then later on i was like yeah AWESOMENESS!!

yer man it happened to me when i lowered my falcon and it took an exhaust shop so many times to finally get it right (mainly because their retards) buts because u have lowered ur car ur exhaust is now sittin closer to the diff and when u go ova bumps the suspension is compressing and the diff and the exhaust pipe are coming together and cusing the sound which is VERY VERY VERY annoying after u have to hear it after every bump. if u go to the back of ur car and push down hard u will also hear the sound. U need to take it to a shop or if u know cars do it urself but u need to reshape the exhaust so it goes over the diff a little bit higher. it may be hittin in other parts as well not just the diff. Lay under the car and get someone to push the back down and u will be able to see or hear where it is hittin under the car. hopefully u make sense of my rambling lol.

Cheers zac

you might wanna do that too just to make sure it not that
but its not that in my truck so if its the same thing as mine u wont have to reshape the exaust

if it is the zorst and the diff chep fix glue a piece of rubber to the diff ou will still get a noise but shouldn't be as loud but yeah check it out before you take it to a mechanics if you are going to get a new shaped pipe.
