Don't know yet... Not for a while I think. I'm tossing up if I can actually afford the time this Christmas, but I'm pretty sure I simply can't.
Didn't you see my rental 4WD?! That's pretty phat! ^O^

Sometimes.
Good shots too Steve, the closest I have ever got to Fujisan is on the shinkansen to and from Osaka.
Miyajima would have to be one of my favourite parts of Japan. Love the water Tori.

It can be easily very expensive, but it can be done on a pretty tight budget. The biggest cost is accomodation, and airfare, once you're past that, it's fairly cheap.
Though cheap accommodation can be arranged.
I stayed at Toyoko inn this time around (toyoko-inn.co.jp) Pretty basic hotel, but you get a private bathroom, a comfortable large bed, and enough room to spend a night in... Though there's not much room.

You need to check out the JR affiliated hotels Steve, there is one in Ueno up on the hill. 5 minutes walk, around the zoo and up the hill.
Ms Nakamura (reception) is hot too!

Oh, really? Next time then. Is she young and single? I was pretty impressed by a young lady at the reception of a hotel at Kyoto I stayed in, Hotel Nishiyama, she only worked during the day, but dayum.
How much per night? (the room I mean).

I think it was around $100. Which is pretty good as it is only 4 or 5 stops to Tokyo and you can acutally walk to Aki.
I dont know if she was single or not. Doesnt matter to me anyway, i am only allowed to look.

He he... True true. Got your car yet?

I was paying about 70 bucks a night at Toyoko, but if there's attractive females, I'm up for a stay.

Do it. There is a wicked bakery at the Ueno station too.
Car should be on the ship as we speak.

Yeah, have been to that one.
Next time you're there, try the one at Mejiro station, it's actually inside the gates, so you only need to get off the Yamanote and hop back on, but they have slightly sweeter breads, one is filled with lemon merange, was very interesting.

I really didn't get that many of cars, but will have a more 'touristy' collection of photo's up shortly (sometime before the weekend).
Incidentally, owning a nice camera doesn't make a photographer.

' Over the coarse of the trip, I took over 6000 shots, and only 50 were keepers. That's LESS then 1%.
But to be honest, 3974 of those were for timelapse, so leaving me with a little over 2000... My average goes up a little.
