Ok since ppl are already talking about this meet I thought I'd actually post the reminder. Prob won't post anymore for the regular meets just special events from now on. So take note meets should be on regularly in the future, the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, normal time (6:30pm), normal deal re food/entertainment. Anyways....


Everyone is invited to the next BBQ and Dyno night at Aiko's, Saturday 15th September from 6:30pm (BBQ from 7:30). This is a casual meet to get to know other car enthusiasts, show off your ride and learn more about cars. Feel free to drop in for an hour or the whole night.

The usual…

$1 all you can eat BBQ
$1 drinks (soft drinks + water)
Free Playstation, pool, darts and DVD's all night
Cheap dyno power runs with printout (by donation) BUT...
The new dyno is still in the testing/calibration stage. The power graphs are still a little all over the place but do give an approximate power figure. This being said, any power figures shouldn't be compared to other dynos or used as the actual power of the car. Like I said it's still being calibrated. The O2 sensor is working and will give you an accurate reading.

THINGS TO NOTE:

• Dyno is RWD only (at this stage) but can take auto or manual and ANY power.
• Alcohol is not appreciated. If you must drink, do it AFTER you leave.
• No burnouts, drifting, etc. near the workshop. The organisers are trying to keep this a safe and police free environment.
• There is NO list for dyno runs made before the event, see the organisers on the night.

We've never had any issues with police, that should continue provided people don't be dickheads and don't pull fully hektik driftz on the roundabout.

any idea when this dyno will be ready to run FWD?

not for a while i'm thinkin dude.. they're still doing the finer tuning of it now for rear wheel...

The dyno will be ready for FWD as soon as they have time to fabricate the new ramps (thats all thats needed for FWD). Could happen anytime, as soon as they have a bit of free time between all the normal work and finishing the software/electronics for the dyno.

i left at 10 and it was still going..

i got there a few mins after 10 and was told the dyno was finished over 30 mins ago...... With Warney keeping my seats warm ... hahaha slarrrttttt
