Just after a good external drive to burn CDs and DVDs

My laptop burner is very picky re cd dvd media, was using a known working brand and now it wont burn again.

Can anyone recommend one please?

No it wouldn't. He wants and external DVD/CD burner. Completely different to an external HDD.

I went on that site and most people recommend the Samsung SH-S203B which is SATA, so I cant use that for external.
Next model from Samsung I can find is SH-S182 is this any good?

Next is Pioneer DVR-112D

Get a Pioneer, Samsung/LG/BenQ/ are shite.. 2nd would be a LiteON!

Maxtor is one of the most reputable brands for external hdds.

you will find that HP is just a rebadge of another brand drive I would go for a pioneer as well (I have had 3 or 4 for a while and the oldest one being hrm.. 3+ years old? and its still kicking), Liteon is good, LG and Samsung has some good reviews too.
