Straight from Mad Matt's big mouth


First of all, im a newbie on here and dont really plan to be a regular after reading all the HATIN goin on. so go easy with the crap and meh meh meh...bloody V8's...bloody tires..boo hoo!!

i thought i might have a bit of FUN (after all thats why we all drift) and get myself a drifta,

i have been doing Drift Demos and stuntriding at all the Supercar rounds for last 5-6 years . I went to Dubai 2 months back to film an Indian Bollywood version of "Fast and Furious" drifting up and down the biggest mountain in Dubai in a sh!tty old Skyline and Supra.

My new Drifta is a Vy Commodore (commonhore..whatever!) with a Carburetted (NAscar style)Chevy Motown 454 small block in it, with a hollinger 6 speed and all the goodies i could find off Paul Morris. Paul Morris originally built this weapon so its all pretty spot on when it comes to engineering and no corners cut.

Bolger gave me a big hand with settin it up, so props to the big guy (as much as i hate the fat COONT..lol).

the thing hasnt as much Horsys as his with only a mere 720hp at wheels but i beat him with torque!

Now im only out to have fun, the big tank weighs massive amounts so i dont think it will be that competitive with all the light weight rice burners but i know one thing for sure.....if i hit one, they will crumple first!!

Before anyone hates on it, the reason i ran with what i got is the same as Bolgers, we BOTH have been sponsored by Holden and Dunlop for the past 5 years at all of the V8 Supercar rounds and dont have much choice what Holdens we can drive or what tyres to put on!
The Dunlop wets are absolute crap....they last bugger all before they either fly to pieces or melt to nothing! They are specifically designed to run in the wet...not damp...but WET!
i would love nothing more to run Type R spec Dunlops coz then they would be the tits! but we cant...we only run what we brung coz they are free!!

fucking mean car, and good to see another strong opinioned shit stirrer in the ranks of DA entrants. question, how do you afford such an expencive car, and dont you feel like your cheating when your competing against cars with a quater the power and quater the build cost?

have seen this guy drive when i use to hang out at Fabtech and god he is a awesome driver.
sure to make a new face in the drifing comps
and love the car.

He just mention above how he is SPONSORED by Dunlop and Holden and has been for the last 5 years and why in earth would he feel guilty by entering it into comps against lesser spec cars? It would be just the same as whinging about the Autosalon S15, any of the DreamWorks cars, Eugenes or Joshs Saber backed cars etc etc. Matts worked hard to be where he is, give him the respect he deserves, as he stated hes in it for some fun.

To be honest mate, when i viewed "commodore drifter" i was like... "umm arrr..not again, type of thread".

I placed my usual comments and misconceptions aside and continued to view your post.

upon reading i discovered a few minor details that struck the eye...

its a big block 454, chevs mother of torque engine, like the matt black, should be good to see this thing in competition,

i for one read a few things and this is what i base my opinion on

car is a purpose built VY drift sedan
car and gear was paul morris's a current v8sc driver and team owner etc
car is sponsored by holden and comes with free parts

so on that note

GO HARD SON,GIVE EM HEAPS,N HAVE FUN DOIN IT

was the car a former V8sc? the shell at least. Morris had the matte black car last season, and has a new white car this year.
