I'm from Brisbane but there's a 180SX I have my eyes on in Melbourne and I was wondering if any of you could (or know anyone that would) have a thorough look at it, Pro Bono if possible?

It's a fresh import from Japan. It's a Type-X and it's being sold for $7500, so naturally i'm a bit suspect of the whole thing. If it's in GC - VGC it'd be worth the trouble of getting it up here of course.

So back to the crux, if anyone could help me out and have a look at this thing with a magnifying glass and a fine toothed comb it would be mightily appreciated.

Maybe the idea of some form of nominated payment would entice some of you to help me out? It's not the ideal situation but if it's what it'll take then i'm willing to do it.

Have you tried RACQ ? I'm sure they can send a rep from RACV to check over it for you.

Not a huge fan of throwing more money at RACQ than I already do. If it turns out to be a heap then RACQ is still like "money, kthxbai". Obviously if I have no luck with this approach that will be my only option.

But yeah, thanks for taking notice of the thread and maybe someone'll come along that can have a look at it.

What sort of guarantee's come with the RACV?

If there's a problem they didn't find (like a twisted chassis) what happens then?

Ask them on the phone, Theres not long left on the Auction so you better Hurry.
