When trying to play a .wmv file i downloaded from utorrent i get this message i need to get a license from a external website. Once i load this external site i have to pay to view the video... bla bla bla. is there any way to by pass this so i can watch this video.

No stupid responces like just pay for the video.

i get this problem ALOT ( all the porn from isohunt ect. ) but yeah its real anoying, it tells you you need a file to view it. ( one of them is zango, i dl'ed it then i got alot of adware from it so i deleted it )

Well I know those files, um from a friend.

There are programs that will remove the protection, but well for them to work you have to pay for the licence, then run the program which then removes the licence. So big waste really.

VLC is great for playing most movie files, but anything that is licence protected will just have a blurry rainbow coloured type screen.

WMV is a load of crap. If you're downloading porn, make sure you get .AVI... Porn sites are using Torrents to dish out huge movies with great sounding titles... but which are password protected so you still need buy a license to watch it. This means that the porn sites are using the Torrent protocol to save themselves bandwidth on their site. They still get the downloads, but avoid the data costs associated with dishing out content.

Long story short? Download porn as .AVI, or any other format that cant be digitally restricted.

If the movies your downloading arent porn (LOLLOLOLL AS IF!) then the same message applies - AVI only.


NB - Using VLC wont do shit on license protected movies, as AlexGTST said, you'll just get a rainbow screen.
