Ipod problem you see?

Well thats nothing out of the ordinary.

I have recently formatted my ipod but i formatted it just through windows by right clicking on it in my computer, now halfway through it said it failed formatting and then i disconnected my ipod now it is turning off and on and wont stop it.. so basically the HDD's format on it is fucked and it just keeps turning off and on and it wont stay on so windows can recognise it, So i cant re format it.. I tried pulling it apart and unplugging the battery and the HDD then re connecting the leads but that didnt work... Does anyone know what to do.. I need it today as im using it as an EXT HDD as im going back to win xp from vista.

Thanks.

josh.

Cant reset/restore it if windows doesnt recognise it, I have tried resetting it by holding the middle and menu button down for 10 secs and it resets but it doesnt fix it.

I got a 5 year warrenty on it back when i got it xmas 05 so i will take it back to dick smith.
