Ah yes. Me too. They totally gimped the silver surfer. He's supposed to be the most powerful being in the universe second to galactus. They should have made a Silver Surfher Moive: Featuring the FF. He has a much more interesting story.
But it was still a fun movie to watch.

On DVD
'The Departed'
Matt Damon ( Matt Daayyymon )
Jack Nicholson
Mark Wharlberg
That guy from titanic.
Was released ages ago, but I only recently got it on hd dvd. Fucking awesome. Nice old school Scorcese film, plenty of mob characters, snitch behaviours and underhand police tactics give this movie a real back to the classics feel. Total entertainment. As exciting as Donnie Brasco, smarter than Casino and more violent than Scarface, AND more headshots than Counterstrike. Its got heaps more energy, better cinematogoraphy (better use of daylight scenes give the film more life) and wicked roles, lines and acting and a defined start/middle/end make it probably the best film Ive seen in 18 months. You wont even pause to grab another coldie, its that enthralling. Fun for the whole family. Rated <R> .
A very easy 9 out of 10.

Transformers, best movie I've seen in a long long time. Seen it twice so far.
On a side note. I'm sure I've read they are already in the process of writing the Silver Surfer stand alone movie.

Well far as I know it was like an introduction for him, then they will do spin off movies.
Pretty much like that have planned for Wolverine.
Watched Transformers tonight, fantastic movie, must watch on the big screen.
Though found that when the robots were fighting, got a little busy on screen.
Can't wait for the next one.

Another high def DVD..
"FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS"
Ryan Phillipe
Barry Pepper
Paul Walker (whats the retail on one of those....)
Directed by Clint Eastwood
Reviewed by Speed:
Well what a shit film. Cut and paste "Saving Private Ryan", "The Windtalkers", add dialogue from the "Medal Of Honour: Pacific Assault" game and voila, one polished turd.
3 out of 10.
What a waste of bandwidth.

well. just went and saw shrek 3 yesterday

i thought it was gonna be outdated and rather crap (as most triquels(?) or even sequels are...) but it was actually quite good. plenty of funny moments, some interesting names making appearances, and overall just pretty good.
the next one i need to see is transformers.... and no reservations...

this movie is a remake of the chinese movie "Infernal Affairs". Most of the story from the chinese version is carried over to The Departed. So much of it actually that it feels like you're watching The Departed with a bunch of chinese people instead of caucasians! Still a great movie though.

The new Adam Sandler movie is a take off of the Australian movie Stange Bedfellows, but its still got its Sandler touch to it!
Good movie and ok to watch.
Another good movie is Die Hard 4. Some say that Bruce Willis is to old... But it doesnt really show in this film. If u liked the other Die Hard movies then this is a good one!

Aug 14 2007, 09:20 AM
Yeh, fantastic movie, Bruce Willis is one actor who will never be to old for action movies, I don't care if he is 80 and still doing Die Hard, I'll still spend my money to watch them.
