my brother is applying for an exemption for his vt commodore that he's about to turbo.
any thing that he should write down to increase his chances?
btw has anyone got an exemption yet and its been passed other than that for work n stuff?

He wont have a chance. At all - none. I've called and called and called. Finding out everything possible. Basically, they will never ever give out an exemption for a car to be driven daily.

There was a thread recently on NissanSilvia.com about this. The thread was about people who have gotten an exemption, and what they said.

Basically there is No way to get one. For personal use anyway.

I have heard a guy got one because he needed to drive a v8 for work purposes and he got one. The work car was a show car displaying something and he could drive it.

If you applied for one and your dad/mum has a turbo car and you say you wanna drive it, aslong as they have other cars, you won't be able to drive it.

I also read before someone's parents only had a turboed FPV or something and the RTA told them to basically buy another car (non-turbo) so the son applying for the exemption could drive it.
