Nichy
hey guys.

im going to be getting a full exhaust system for my new civic.

i have been quoted about 600-650 for

extracters, cat back and a angled cannon.

i think its 280 for the extractors....is this a good price?

Any ideas on where to get it done?

its going to be 2.25 all the way and mandral bend

I would also like to know the answer to that question ^^
Cheddle
that isnt that outrageous...

not sure about civics but my mate got an exaughst with extractors, and full 2.5 inch mandrel with original cat an new muflers with a chrome tip for 700-800 and that was 6 cylender
Nichy
moonah exhaust
:Dunky
moonah exhaust feekucked me around so much, and from my experience with exhausts get a quality one to begin with so you dont go through system after system, take that quote into carline on argyle st opposite goodyear and ask the guy to beat it and he probably will!
Nichy
i will go in and ask again and get his to write it all down...thene try some other places.

im hoping it make a diffrence and has a nice note
Jord
ur just jealous of my note tongue.gif

dunno if mandrel bent is really needed its on a dual carb d15b4.

ask john (tryhard) about extractors as he used to be able to deal with undercar to get good prices? just an idea?

-jord
Nichy
yweh thats a point...... but its will look cooler jordy:)
MookieMadskillz

only if u look under the car..
Nichy
hahaha your point:)

if it cost extr4 i wont get it done
ronald_r32
of course it will cost extra to get mandrel bends instead of press bends. Just get it up on the hoist at the workshop and see how many bends there really are. If its only a a couple and there not big ones it wont make to much difference.
Lystic
if your at school on tursday moring bring it down to auto and we can put it up for you if you want to have a look see.
Jord
there are big bends in it. mines just press bend and its like a big zig zag haha
Lystic
well there you go !
rx 0323
i actually think thats cheap.

the rotor exhaust i wanted was 1100 WITHOUT extractors.

the lasers exhaust will be around the 700 mark.
Nichy
yeh i went there yesterday and he sized it up and everything

$600 exactaly for full system
moe002
Wow...

The Rolla exhaust was a damn good price then tongue.gif

But, there arent as many bends in mine, and the ones that were there are mandrel bends thumbsup.gif

Is E&M the one that was in Watchorn St? If so they've moved to Bathurst St (according to the sign on the door) but fucked if I can find where! They've got a sign out the front but go in the driveway and all you will find is a carpark/dispatch area.
Nichy
the guy from Tas exhaust i think...the one in town next the police station came into dads work today and had a look at jords car....

said the work was shit and that it shouldn't have beed done the way it is....

he also said that it should be 2" becasue 2.25 is too think and would take to much pressue off and not work as good.

he also said he could do it for a fair bit less.

so im happy and should have an exhaust in the next month or so.... no extractors yet though......not enough money
MUZ
what do you all recon would be the go for a zorst on teh skyline?
sick of teh pea shooter, and its somthing i will want done soonish? best places? and what do you think i should ask for. i dont know much about that kind of stuff so sum1 fill me in

cheers guys

u didnt tell me this :S

i dunno wat mine is pretty sure it is 2" tongue.gif

still sounds cool smile.gif
Nichy
yeh its 2".......there is i think 9 bends that are doing fuck all that could of been one peice of pipe. some of the joins are done wrong and the cannon should of been put on diffrent as well cuzthe stainless steel with start to crack later on

but yeh it does sound good
Pie
the stainless steel will start to crack? that sounds like B.S and 9 bends is ridiculous! what does it do 2 laps of the car or something

Any metal will crack if its constantly stressed or fatigued, Im guessing the cannon has been put on in such as way that it bounces up and down alot. I agree though 9 bends is ridiculous, the only place where that kind of work is acceptable is in a tuned length turbo manifold!

only a tuned lenth turbo manifold???? rolleyes.gif
have u ever seen the bends in a set of true tuned N/A extractors??

[attachmentid=218018]
and thats pretty mild compared to the usual jap made gear

couldnt find the pic i wanted...but one set pretty take up all the space on the exhaust side of the engine
