Hi all, I'm doing year 12 this year nd if I get into a uni course at Mawson Lakes my parents are going to loan me up to $15, 000 to get a car because there is no direct route to it from where I live (I would have to catch da bus to town nd then backtrack heaps far.). What car should I get if I get in? I'm thinking about a 93 - 00 subaru impreza (not the WRX, they cost too much:P) but if anyone has any suggestions, go ahead.

BTW, the TER for da course is only like 60 so I shouldn't have any trouble getting in.

You could probs get the price down and its in SA so you can make sure you check out the car properly

You 2 are biased It really depends what kinda car's your into mate, 15k is a fair bit to spend. So i say do some research and work out if you want to spend the whole 15k on a car, or half on a car & half fixing/modding it. Although you can easily pick up a non turbo ipreza under 8k, you can get late 90's model wrx's for as cheap as 12-14k now. Let us know when you've found some good examples

Do some serious reserch on both used cars and new cars AFTER YOU FINISH YOUR YEAR 12 NOT WHILST, cause theres no point if u cant get into uni is there!!

Either would be cool. Hard choice, just have a look at whats around. I would take the 33 and keep it sleeper. Look on carsales.com.au there is a nice black 33 for sale in SA.
