Seems no one here has done this, so I'll fill you in.

I went along tonight specifically to talk to Neal Bates, but it was also good to see the cars up close and personal although I don't follow the series and don't particularly 'love' any of the cars. Anyway it was pretty packed and the road was blocked off for it, worthwhile going even though I did my business and left shortly after it began.

ive never been so bored in my life lol, at least it was something to do, i remember when possum bourne was in it, wasnt there more cars back then? there was like only 20? hey rainey i have another member for your celica club, my mate just got a carlos saintz ST185 GT4 came with racing seats, 2 sets of racing wheels and potenza semi slicks attatched, heaps of spares, adjustable suspension, some other stuff he picks it up monday but i hes got all the spares for it cant wait to see how it launches with the slicks on .

apparently it wasn't as good as last years and i'll agree it was lacking but.. none the less is good that the rally scene is still about in tassie.. we stuck around for the whole thing, not sure if we'll hit it up next year..

TE27, good stuff mate, the Carlos Sainz's love to be launched. They will chirp all fours and then grip like shit to toilet paper. Awesome car to drive, and the 3S-GTE has heaps of potential.

they sound that way for power etc.. at the higher revs going along they sound wicked.. but like that last night.. not too crash hot

There was only about half the amount of competitors due to a clash with other TRC (Tasmania Series) events so many/most of the Tassie drivers couldnt afford/didnt have time to compete in the ARC event. But yeah last night wasnt there best, id have to say the best start was in 2004 down near Salamanca. Was a pritty good day for it today, so pritty good action.

Nah i was too busy (getting rocks flicked at me as the cars took off), i am Senior Safety Officer for two of the stages. But ill try tomorrow and if i get some good ones ill post em up.

yeah the cars do sound shit especially the corollas probly cos they use no mufflers and are limited to 2.5inch? i put a new gearbox and clutch in a white GT4 with my mate 2 weeks ago bastard of a job. but we had the exhaust from the cat back removed and it sounded sweet that was 3inch, we wanted to see what his 3SGTE in his sprinter will sound like with a sidepipe no mufflers .

I liked the sound and smell of all the cars....so nice!! Was a busy day again today but i managed to take some pics at the end but my camera ran outta batteries so they are pritty crapo pics, missed out on some good pics too ah well, here you go..
