I only shoot in High JPG.only having one 1gig card sucks. I am not good enough to use photoshop, hence not shooting in RAW.
Yeh, fair enough.
RAW is a a bitch to process because it is so slow and laggy, but once u have opened it, it is all worth it, u can adjust anything without loosing quality and making it look fake. The adjustments are so much more subtle and effiective than in JPEG, then u just save it again in JPEG.
I dont know about the Canons, but can u choose to shoot in both JPEG and RAW?, coz that is the best, u can go through all ur shots and choose some in JPEG and then delete the useless copies in RAW, that way u only have to open a few shots. I would HIGHLY recommend this
I only have a 1 gig as well, but Nikon's are only 6.1mgpxls so it's not too bad (I get about 300 in 3008x2000, Full Res (around 2.75mb per file), or 125 in both Full res JPEG and RAW (RAW is 5.5mb per file)
I can live with that though. The only time I ever take more shots than that is in a situation where I can live with a smaller size or lower res, like sporting matches or driving shots, using rapid fire.
TYLER, to get the EXIF info, u can just go to the properties of the JPEG and click advanced and it is all there in back and white.
Shit I'm Rambling alot...
DW, next time I'll put these posts in the Digital Dark Room section.
