Ella, BTH membership does not provide any subsidy yet for competition meets so it will cost you $45 to run in the Street class at the Nt Titles.
As for admission for spectators, it is a flat $20 for adults no concessions but kids under 14 are free

TheHeat
Jul 4 2006, 01:03 PM
What? The event is called the NT Titles...NT Drag Racing Titles...whats the difference? I havent taken it upon myself to change anything. It is a committee that decides these things.
No Rupax, no burnout competition at this event...there will be burnout shows by Brett Stevens though in the Jack Daniels Burnout Ute

Mark............... did I read correctly when you say that qualifying starts at 1pm????
If so, I have to re-book the tilt tray, as I had some 3" dump pipes made, and I don't really wanna risk driving down there with a "Beat the Heat" sticker on her and get done for excessive noise!!
What time do the gates open, any idea??

Qualifying is from 1pm - 6pm to give people a chance to qualify in case there are too many cars.

Scotty has anyone mentioned a little thing called 'back pressure' to you? Belching flames on the shifts will be speccy thats for sure...lol
Salad Fingers
Jul 4 2006, 09:14 PM
As little back pressure as possible after the tuned section of the exhaust is what your after.
Therefor dumpers straight off the headers will yeild the best power band.
Especially in a supercharged setup.
vh-holden
Jul 4 2006, 09:39 PM
the vh has a quasi dumper off the header. no issues with back pressure or lack off. still working on flames though.
an interesting site on exhasut principles.
http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Miscellaneous/exhausttheory.htmQUOTE(http://auto.howstuffworks.com/question172.htm)
During the exhaust stroke, a good way for an engine to lose power is through back pressure. The exhaust valve opens at the beginning of the exhaust stroke, and then the piston pushes the exhaust gases out of the cylinder. If there is any amount of resistance that the piston has to push against to force the exhaust gases out, power is wasted. Using two exhaust valves rather than one improves the flow by making the hole that the exhaust gases travel through larger.
Salad Fingers
Jul 4 2006, 10:00 PM
Exhaust gas dilution of the intake charge is an even worse problem for power production.

...
anyway back on topic, should be a good meeting.
If I get off my arse and fix my car I'll prolly even come down for a run I think.

I've had them specially made so they come out just behind the centre pillar straight from the extractors!! Have also had them bent a little so when the flames do come out, I won't get black doors!! Kinda like the angle that you guys run on The Heat

Have spoken to Mark from Star Performance, and he says it will probably give me an extra 10rwkw!!! Whatever it takes to get into those 11's!!! But I will not be stripping the car of weight, and there's nothing like listening to ACDC hurtling down the track!!
