OPTIMA LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE
Optima Sport, one of the newest V8 Supercar teams in the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series, has launched their new look website today.
The website (www.optimasport.com.au) will feature the latest news and information on the team, alongside special features with Optima Sport driver David Clark and other new corporate initiatives.
Working closely with the team at BAM Media, Optima Sport has created an online home that will be a leader amongst V8 Supercar websites. The online experience will be the information hub for Optima Sport in 2006.
“A comprehensive and informative website is imperative to maintaining a healthy flow of information to our supporters and the fans of V8 Supercar racing,” said team owner David Macdougall.
“We are only a small team but we strive to present ourselves in the most professional manner and our new website is no exception.”
The Gold Coast based team has started their debut year in the Series with two impressive results where Clark qualified tenth on debut in Adelaide before finishing the second round at Wakefield Park seventh. The young rookie currently sits 10th in the championship standings.
“Considering two weeks prior to Adelaide David (Clark) hadn’t even driven a V8 Supercar before and only one person in the team had experience in the championship, I think we’ve done a great job in pulling things together to get the results we have so far,” said Macdougall.
“The aim now is to back these performances up with continual improvement over the next few rounds to prove we are worthy contenders to be amongst the front runners in the series.”
Optima Sport will complete a test day in early July prior to the next round of the championship at Queensland Raceway on July 21 – 23.
